For this assignment I took photos in my backyard of nature. From trees to water, to flowers I experimented with the best angles and learned that sun in the background gives for a nice effect of sunlight either highlighting the back of my subject or splaying around it. Shutter Speed: 1/640
Aperture: f/4.0 ISO: 800

For this assignment I shot portrait photos of my family out in the backyard. Still new to adjusting the exposure triangle, most of my time was spent adjusting the settings and experimenting with what worked best with which lightings. I learned that it is not great for subjects to be in direct sunlight, especially mid-day/evening when shadows are cast over the subject's eyes; I worked mainly in shadow as it provided the best lighting for the subject's face. Shutter speed: 1/200 Aperture: f/4.0 ISO: 160 The editing I did for this photo was cropping the image, removing a few tree stumps in the background and increasing the brightness of the photo to add light and emphasis to the subject's face.
For this assignment, I followed step by step instructions. By filtering images into different colors, using layers, and changing the hue and saturation of each photo, I was able to create pop art! Here is the original and edited pictures. Having never used photoshop before, from this assignment, I learned how to change the hue and saturation of a picture to set desired colors, how to set up guides using the rulers in photoshop, how to add many layers to a project, and how to add images into your clipboard in photoshop.
